Publications

My publications explore how digital cultures, youth-led movements, and feminist knowledge practices shape everyday life in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. Working across media and cultural studies, I study how young people use digital worlds to connect, care, and act collectively. I also write about gender and knowledge in higher education, and gendered mobility in academia, examining how these experiences illuminate the politics of knowledge that structure who produces, circulates, and is recognised within global scholarship.

Some of my writings are open access, while others may be behind paywalls. If you’d like to read something you can’t access, email me at annisa.beta@unimelb.edu.au
